Cartoon Gestures (in ink for once)

Something purely for fun I was working on the other night, you might remember some of these from an earlier post. I've been trying to focus on broad gestural marks, a sense of motion,  and a strong line of action for poses especially in simpler cartoon styled characters (reading up on animation techniques has helped a lot in this department). I happened to be flipping through an old textbook I had lying around, looking through some of the body poses used in Renaissance paintings as well. I'd also been wanting to get more comfortable with pen as opposed to graphite. Not quite used to it yet... I like the bolder lines for simpler work like this though. Thinking about trying out Sharpie as well.
