I completed a sample illustration for a children's book publisher, similar to last time. Again, I was instructed to choose one of several pages to work from. This one is based off of the following excerpt:
He leaps for the gate, swinging it open as another backyard adventure begins!
It mainly has the same look as the illustration before since it seemed to be what they were after. This was about 4 or 5 hours of work, much faster than last time, but hopefully the review committee likes it regardless. Unfortunately I wasn't given the details as to why the previous entry didn't work out, but we'll see where this goes. :D
